The opening ceremony is on Friday 2 April at 20.00 hours, followed by some exciting performances of Flemenco music, singing and dancing provided by Danza Española y Flamenco, after which you can enjoy some tapas and dance Sevillanas. The fun resumes on Saturday morning at 11.00 hours with children’s entertainment and Latin dancing until 14.30 hours, followed by more Sevillanas dancing and tapas. The packed evening programme begins at 18.00 hours with a spectacular display of horsemanship from Caballers de Maó and Centro Equestre Equimar, followed by more great music, dancing, competitions and partying Andalucian style with traditional dancing and tapas from midnight onwards.
From midday, oriental dancing and a performance by the popular trio Dopo dei Divo fill Sunday plus your last opportunity to dance Sevillanas. The final equestrian act by Caballers de Maó and Yeguada de Viniarroga Vell is then at 17.00 hours before the Feria de Abril closes for another year at 18.00 hours.
This looks like being a wonderful, action packed glimpse into Sevillian culture with a great party atmosphere and, best of all, the entertainment is free. Throughout the event refreshments will be available, including the traditional ‘pescaíto frito’ (little fried fish), ‘cazón de adobo’ (marinated fried fish) and ‘rebujito’, the customary drink of the Feria de Abril made from fino sherry and soda water or lemonade.
