Give yourself a beach experience to remember for all the family, take a picnic and get there around 17.00 when it’s not so hot or crowded…and just relax and enjoy a magnificent sunset.
Almost everyone it appears, in summer at least. Go in spring or autumn to get the full impact of its beauty without the crowds.
What is there to do?
Sunbathe, float in the sea, snorkel or walk around the path to the smaller, more sheltered Cala Macarelleta, which is also stunning and popular with nudists.
None – so, if you are not taking a picnic, at least remember to takes lots of water..! However, there are showers, a toilet and litter bin.
Take the road to Sant Joan de Missa (leading to the popular resort of Cala Galdana), then turn left and follow signs to Macarella – about 20 minutes by car along a narrow country road. There is a free car park one kilometer (15 minutes walk) from the beach – but well worth the effort.
