Editor’s Comment September

Some like it hot….and for those who do, August did not disappoint. Hardly a cloud in the sky most days and, following on from a disappointing July weather-wise, on the whole people were pleased to welcome the sun and complaints about the heat were generally forgotten as businesses embraced the increased trade from August holiday makers on the beaches, in the bars and restaurants and from other tourist attractions.

With the children now back at school, September is one of the best months to enjoy Menorca at its finest…hot days, less humidity, cooler nights and warm seas. So, this newsletter is packed full of things to do and places to go for visitors and residents alike, kicking off with the Máo Fiestas de Gràcia this week, the full schedule of events is already on the Menorca-Live website. Other articles include wonderful places to eat by the water, the best late night bars, the Cala’n Porter fiesta programme and…if you fancy spoiling yourself, what better than a relaxing aromatherapy treatment by Menorca’s own fully qualified holistic therapist, Anne Maddison.

More events and dates for your diary will be continually added throughout the month. And, if you are eating out, don’t forgot to log onto the Menorca-Live Restaurant & Bar Guide which includes up to date information about each venue and photos to help to make your choice. We will continue to add new places over the coming months, so if you have any suggestions, we would like to hear from you.

Enjoy September, whatever the weather…!
