The British Consulates and Honorary Consulates for Southern Europe now have a central number for all enquiries, 902 109 356 (from Spain) and 00 34 913 342 194 (from outside Spain). Calls will be answered between 09.00 and 17.00 hrs, after which callers will be directed to an emergency service in the UK.

All calls will be answered by the new Consularline Call Centre which will provide callers with the information required. Calls made to the former Honorary Consulate number in Menorca (971 367 818) will be automatically diverted to the new call centre and will not be answered by Deborah Hellyer. Queries that need to be dealt with by Deborah Hellyer in person will be forwarded to her for action.

The Honorary Consulate is open most of the year from 10.00 to 12.00 midday and for a full morning during the summer months.

Medical Services (State)

Each of the 7 municipalities on the Island has a Health Centre (Centro de Salud) or Basic Health Unit (Basica de Slaud). Many of the larger resorts also have clinics open during the holiday season. If it is a non-urgent problem, go to the local Health Centre first and they will refer you to the nearest hospital, if necessary.

For emergencies, go directly to the Urgencies department at your nearest hospital. 24 hour Accident and Emergency units are located at:
