These are complemented by decorated screens, water features and, of course, great music to create an atmosphere unique to each area, from the intimate cocktail bar to the more contemporary seating and dining areas through to the informal outside terrace. The relaxed oriental theme would appear to be set, until you look at the varied menu which specialises in Mexican cuisine, created in contrast to excite the taste buds with imaginative dishes and a great selection of tapas that have been given a ‘Mexican twist’. Perfect for an intimate dinner with friends or snacks for larger groups. With salads and nachos starting at €6.90 and an inventive selection of tapas from just €6, these tasty snacks are just made for sharing as you will want to try them all…! Alternatively, the chef’s specialities includes more substantial meals from €9 such as homemade hamburger, filet steak, chicken Teriyaki and risotto with mushrooms and asparagus. Beers, wines (red, white and rose) and soft drinks are all well priced or try one of the freshly made gin, vodka and rum cocktails at €7. Also a speciality as are the aromatic shishas (waterpipes) with more than six different flavours, prepared with or without alcohol and exclusive to Komodo.
Every Thursday evening, during the summer months, Komodo offers the ‘Buddha Experience’, when you can enjoy lounge music presented by regular DJ Bruno Costa, and you are invited to light a candle and offer it to Buddha while making your own special wish. Then, on Friday nights, there is the Komodo ‘After Work’ special when you can eat for free. All you need to pay for is your drinks and Komodo will serve you a delicious set dinner…absolutely free, so you can unwind and get ready for the weekend ahead.
