Menorca Hosts First ‘Fiesta Del Mar’

If you are planning to visit Menorca this May (2012) and like to enjoy Menorca’s great outdoors, you are in for a big treat. The first ‘Fiesta del Mar’ 2012, organised by the Estación Náutica de Menorca, will be taking place throughout the month with discounted rates for water sports activities as well as other outdoor pursuits such as horse riding, cycling and golf. The Fiesta del Mar also includes the following sporting events to which visiting sports enthusiasts can participate and spectators are welcome to come along to soak up the atmosphere. Positive Vibes From Fairline Menorca

“An extremely positive Show that generated serious interest for us despite a lower footfall,” is how Chris Reeve, Director of Fairline Menorca, summed up the 2012 London Boat Show held at Excel in January.

“With the full range of Fairline motor yachts on display, the London Boat Show is always a great event for attracting an international audience and showcasing new models,” he continues. “Now back in Menorca, Garry and I are busy following up leads on 78, 50 and 42 Squadrons, which we are hopeful will be ordered and delivered in time to enjoy the summer season. The all new Targa 45, due out next year, also generated a lot of interest. This really is a fantastic new model with a new Volvo IPS engine system complete with joystick control, a tender garage to house a Wiliams Jet RIB, very large sunbathing beds on the stern and bow, twin stern access making mooring easier, a very large social cockpit, two massive double cabins and a large electric retractable roof system. “It was an especially exciting show for us as we were World Premiering the all-new Targa 38GT with electric retractable roof, the 4-cabin version Squadron 65 and the brand new Squadron 50”, says Chris. “And, it was also the Southampton debut of the all-new Targa 50GT.” The customer feedback was tremendous and everyone at the Show agreed that Fairline offers the highest quality and best specified boats around.
