Thursday 18 July
19.00 hrs: The Town Council invites all the pensioners from Es Castell to a traditional afternoon tea party in Plaça des Mercat (Town Hall courtyard). Concert and dancing with Joan Reynés.
21.00 hrs: Performance by the Majorettes from the Es Castell Cultural Centre in Plaça Esplanada.
Friday 19 July
21.00 hrs: Concert for the young with Psidium and Mark Mj in Plaça Esplanada.
Saturday 20 July
21.00 hrs: Arrival of the Es Castell Giants, Jaume and na Roser in Plaça Esplanada, followed by the prize giving ceremony for the Sant Jaume 2013 poster competition and trophy presentation to the most outstanding sports people of the year. Afterwards the traditional Pregón (fiesta opening speech), will be given by local resident Jordi Moya in Plaça Esplanada, followed by the third neighbours street party in Calle Gran.
23.30 hrs: Concert and dancing with Boulevard Trio.
Sunday 21 July
21.00 hrs: Concert, ‘The 80s Party’ in Plaça Esplanada.
Monday 22 July
21.00 hrs: Mariner’s Evening with a market and performances by the groups Arrels deMenorca, Joana Pons i Ses Guitarres and Llambre in Cala Corb.
Tuesday 23 July
20.30 hrs: Concert by the popular singing group Es Ranxo in Plaça des Mercat.
Wednesday 24 July
08.00 hrs: The Town Hall invites the Caixers and Cavallers (horse riders) to breakfast in the Plaça des Mercat.
09.00 hrs: Radio Castell begins its special fiesta programme.
10.00 hrs: The first notes of the flute (‘toc de fabiol’) sound out from the Fabioler at the entrance to the Town Hall, and the town crier (‘pregoner municipal’) announces the start of the Fiesta of Sant Jaume throughout the streets of Es Castell. The ‘Junta de Caixers’ (committee of horse riders) tours the town to invite clubs and associations to the fiesta.
15.45 hrs: The cavalcade begins to assemble and parades around the town and harbour following the traditional route.
17.00 hrs: Street entertainment with the Es Castell carnival Giants and characters accompanied by music from the ‘Banda de Música de Ciutadella’.
19.00 hrs: Solemnes Completas (Evensong) in honour of Sant Jaume in the local parish church of El Roser.
20.00 hrs: The traditional ‘Jaleo’ takes place in front of the Town Hall and the festive music begins after the Caixer Fadri has handed over the Fiesta Flag to the Town Hall.
00.30 hrs: Public open air dance in the Plaça Esplanada with music from ‘Sarau’ and ‘Dirty and Homeless’.
Thursday 25 July (Glorious Sant Jaume)
07.45 hrs: The cavalcade begins to form and parades through the town, following the traditional route.
08.00 hrs: Morning Reveille around the town with the parade of local carnival Giants and characters and Giants from Maó, accompanied by music from the band ‘José i Sus Muchachos’.
10.30 hrs: The ‘caixers’ (horse riders), town councillors and dignitaries make their way to the parish church.
11.00 hrs: Special Mass for the caixers.
12.00 midday: A burst of firecrackers starts the ‘Davallada’ (the return to the Town Hall) to the sound of ‘Frases Menorquinas’ (traditional fiesta songs).
13.00 hrs: The second ‘Jaleo’ takes place in font of the Town Hall with the presentation of green canes (for good harvest) and silver spoons (for good food) to the horse riders.
15.00 hrs: Traditional reception for the caixers (riders) in the Town Hall. The riders walk around the town visiting the townsfolk and sprinkling ‘aigue-ros’ (rose water) to ward off evil.
20.00 hrs: ‘Corregudes’ (horse races) along the Carrer des Port.
21.00 hrs: The final notes of the ‘fabiol’ (flute) sound out in front of the Town Hall to signify the official end of the traditional fiesta celebrations.
21.30 hrs: Performance by the Majorettes in Plaça Esplanada.
24.00 hrs: Firework display from Illa Plana.
00.30 hrs: Public open air dance (verbana) with DJ Marc B in Plaça Esplanada.
Friday 26 July, Santa Anna in Calasfonts
17.00 hrs: Nautical festival with sailing boat regattas organised by the Club Náutico Villacarlos and traditional swim across the harbour.
21.00 hrs: Concert by Joana Pons i Ses Guitarres.
24.00 hrs: A final burst of firecrackers brings the fiesta celebrations to a close for another year.
Saturday 27 July
17.30 hrs: Cucaña, children’s games organised by Esplai Mowgly in Plaça Esplanada.
Sunday 28 July
21.00 hrs: Concert by the Es Castell senior citizens choir, followed by the play Eleccions Municipals 2015 by the senior citizens theatre group Només és vell qui s’hi seni in Plaça des Mercat.
Saturday 3 August
21.00 hrs: Trebalúger Neighbourhood Dinner in the supermarket car park.
