19.30 hrs: A welcome to the Disney characters at Molí de Dalt who make their way to Pla de Sa Creu accompanied by the animation group Esclat.
20.00 hrs: The junior ‘Pregon’, official fiesta announcement of the Fiestas for the children by the Disney characters in Pla de Sa Creu followed by gospel music from the choral group Moments a Cor.
20.30 hrs: Sant Lluís Trophy football match between CCE Sant Lluís and Sporting de Mahón at the football ground.
Thursday 22 August
18.30 hrs: Speed chess tournament in Pla de Sa Creu.
Friday 23 August
21.30 hrs: The traditional ‘Pregon’, the official announcement of the Fiestas, with music by the Grup Vocal Instrumental Jubilats de Sant Lluís. The Mayor asks the Fabioler (herald) to escort the Caixer Fadrí to collect the Fiesta Flag.
The first notes on the flute signify the start of the festivities and the Fiesta Flag is hung on the Town Hall balcony by the Caixera Fadrina, together with the Fabioler, Mayor and Caixer Batle (rider representing the Mayor) and the Pregonera.
22.00 hrs: Musical performance by the group Las Damas.
23.00 hrs: Music and public dance, ‘Sa Primera de ses Festes’ with DJ in Pla de Sa Creu.
Saturday 24 August
11.00 hrs: Traditional dressing of the Sant Lluís Giants, Maria, Lluís and Tecla andgrooming of the Caixer Pagès’ horse in Plaça Nova.
12.00 noon: Mass in honour of Saint Lluís, King of France, in the Sant Lluís parish church.
16.30 hrs: A peal of bells and burst of rockets signal the start of the fiestas.
16.45 hrs: The Sant Lluís Giants, and carnival figures and invited giants from the island, parade the town, accompanied by the Es Migjorn Band together with the Asociación Xeremiers Orat and group Aires de Cala de Pollenca.
17.00 hrs: The ‘Fabioler’ goes to Pla de Sa Creu where the Mayor is waiting for him to grant permission to form the cavalcade for the 2013 fiestas and to collect the Caixer Fadrí from Placa de ses Micoles. They then make their way to the Town Hall to ask permission to start the fiestas in honour of the town’s patron saint. The Fiesta Flag of Sant Lluís is presented to them and the first notes are played on the Fabiol after which all the Caixers and cavallers of Sant Lluís gather and make their way to the Molí de Dalt (windmill) where riders from other towns are waiting for them. Once united, they return to the Town Hall to collect the Caixer Batle (Fiesta Mayor), the Caixer Pagès (the rider representing farmers) and the Caixer Municipal (mounted policemen representing the Municipality). The Caixer Batle receives the official Staff of Office before finally collecting the Caixer Capella (Fiesta Priest).
18.00 hrs: The cavalcade tours the town, presided over by the Caixer Batle.
18.00 hrs: Horse races in the Mahón Municpal Hipodrome.
19.30 hrs: Evening Mass (Compline) in the parish church attended by local dignitaries, authorities and the horse riders.
20.00 hrs: Traditional ‘Jaleo’ in front of the church, followed by the ‘caragol’ (tour) around the streets of Sant Lluís.
23.30 hrs: Grand public dance with the groups The Legend and Fraggles in Pla de Sa Creu.
Sunday 25 August
08.00 hrs: Morning Reveille around the town with the Giants and Bugle and Drum Band.
09.00 hrs: The cavalcade gathers following the proceedings of the previous day and parades the streets.
10.30 hrs: Mass for the riders in the parish church with the traditional distribution of the ‘aigua-ros’ (rose water) and anointment of the riders and congregation, and a special mention to honour the fiesta day of Sant Lluís, King of France and patron saint of the town.
11.30 hrs: Second ‘Jaleo’ in front of the church followed by the presentation of traditional green canes and silver spoons to the participating riders.
15.00 hrs: The final notes are played on the flute. Traditional refreshment (beguda) given by the Town Hall for all the Caixers.
15.00 hrs: A paella lunch party is held for all the townspeople in the Plaça Nova, by the windmill. Tickets for paella and a drink, €5. Advance ticket sales from: Restaurant La Rueda, Panaderia Maruja, Carnisseia Can Miquel and the Sant Lluís library.
20.30 hrs: Colourful street parade with floats, the Giants and carnival figures and music from the Cap de Fibló band and invited groups.
23.00 hrs: Grand public dance with music by Remembers and Fraggles in Pla de Sa Creu.
00.30 hrs: Spectacular firework display near the new school.
Monday 26 August
10.00 hrs: Mass in memory of the townsfolk who have died during the past year.
11.00 hrs: Children’s Fiesta with a street party, games, pony rides and foam party in Plaça des Pins.
17.00 hrs: Third swimming race from Illa de l’Aire to Punta Prima and the 150m children’s race.
20.30 hrs: Concert by Rita Barber in Pla de Sa Creu.
22.00 hrs: Grand public dance with the groups Huracán and Remembers in Pla de Sa Creu.
24.00 hrs: A burst of firecrackers near the new school brings the fiesta to a close.
