Starting each day at 11.00 hours, there’s a craft market selling carved wood and leather goods, jewellery, sweets, preserves and souvenirs, and a lively programme of activities involving magic acts, puppets and maritime characters including sailors, pirates divers and Emilio the Crocodile. The entertainment continues in the evening until midnight with different performances each night.
Of particular note, on Saturday evening after the Fiesta del Carmen processions, there will be a performance by the municipal Band of Mahón at 20.00 hours followed by the trio Arrels de Menorca singing sea shanties at 22.30 hours.
For some great family entertainment, come and enjoy the party atmosphere of the Fiesta del Carmen and join in with the fun at the 2013 Mahón Marinero.
Organised by MoVida, part of Maó Town Council, together with a number of local associations, the Mariners Market is part of the ongoing revitalization programme to promote commercial activity and encourage more people to visit the port.
