Mariners Market in Fornells, Menorca

Fornells_Marine_MarketThe first Mariner’s Market is taking place around the harbour of Fornells from Thursday 5 to Wednesday 11 July 2012 with a full programme of nautical entertainment and activities relating to the sea. Starting with parades with ‘Les Sardines Fresques’ and ‘Els Banyistes’, there will be concerts, street theatre and circus acts with sailors walking on stilts, pirates and people dressed up as bathers, divers and canoeists.

There will also be stalls selling all sorts of maritime products as well as sea craft demonstrations. The entertainment varies slightly each day, with the morning activities starting at 11.30 until 13.30 hours, and the evening fun featuring the sailors and pirates between 18.00 and 20.30 hours.
