On Saturday, participants will meet at Son Xoriguer beach at 09.15 hrs for registration, before departing for Cala Galdana at 10.00 hrs. Suitable for beginners, the route is approx 16 km and takes about six hours. For those taking part on just the one day, transport is organsied to take them (and their kayaks if using their own) back to Son Xoriguer. For people taking part on both days, the kayaks will be left on the beach ready for the next day’s excursion. A shuttle service has also been organised for people without equipment at various points from 08.30 hrs, including Mahón, Es Mercadal, Ferreries and Ciutadella.
On Sunday, participants will gather at Cala Galdana beach at 09.15 hrs, for departure to Santo Tomas at 10.00 hrs. Again, suitable for beginners, the route is approx 9 km and also takes about six hours. Transport will be provided back to Cala Galdana and the shuttle service will also be available from Mahón, Es Mercadal and Ferreries and Ciutadella for people without equipment. At Santo Tomas there will be some refreshments for everyone on the beach at the Es Bruc bar and restaurant to celebrate the success of the fifth meeting and say goodbye until next year.
